AMC Build is a specialist contractor delivering high-quality renovations, extensions and new-build homes across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. Today, we manage complete construction projects as Principal Contractor and, where appointed, Principal Designer — combining experienced project management with the specialist building knowledge our reputation has been built on.

My name is Alex McCarthy. I was first taught to tile by my Italian grandfather at the age of nine, before going on to train as a plumber and site manager. I now have over 20 years' experience in construction, and during that time AMC Build has grown from a sole-trader business into a skilled team delivering increasingly complex residential projects.

I still take a hands-on role in our projects, working closely with clients, architects, engineers and our team on site. That combination of practical construction experience and technical understanding is central to how we work - details are considered properly, problems are dealt with early, and quality is maintained throughout the build.
